Other Utilities
We strongly recommend Windows 2000 or XP for serious audio professionals. The NT-series of Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP) is much more stable than the 9x series (95, 98, and ME). NGWave supports Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP.However, if you must stick with 98 or ME, you may find IERadicator handy. It removes Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE, or just IE) from your system. Since the browser is so tightly integrated into Windows itself, removing IE can seriously improve performance and stability.
Of course if you do this, you'll need a web browser. We recommend Mozilla in this case.
