NGWave Audio/Sound/MP3 Editor: Tuner
NGWave's Tuner is an exclusive feature. It detects the input frequency, and displays not only the frequency, but the closest musical note as well as an analog meter indicating how far off it is from the detected note.In NGWave's Record dialog, click View, then Analog VU Options, then VU Mode, and select Tuner. You can press CTRL+2 to quickly switch between the Tuner and Analog VU meters.
The Tuner can be used to tune a guitar, or even to perfect your singing voice. NGWave's help file shows examples of various guitar tunings for reference.
Many tuning programs are available, but none are as accurate or fast as NGWave's integrated tuner. It locks onto a note in less than 150 milliseconds, and automatically filters out distortion and harmonics. Accuracy is as good as your sound card's oscillator (which is generally within a few thousandths of a percent). The tuner uses our exclusive Phase-Offset Error Tracking system, providing accurate and fast response to changes in frequency.![]()
